A deep dive into directing
Dive deep into multiple topics relating to Film Direction with 16 other directors from all over Europe. In the center of Barcelona we will learn topics ranging from directing actors to working with streamers, creating your own low budget feature film, to directing commercials and how to pitch to producers. Get this information from people who are actively working in the field.

Based on your questions
The masterclasses will be 8 to 10 hours, filled with practical information, inspirational examples and they will be based on the questions that you have.
DAVID
VICTORI
Director/Producer of Netflix Hit Series Sky Rojo. Director of the Disney+ series Tu Tambien lo Harias. World Winner of the YouTube's Film Festival. Selected by Variety and ScreenDaily as one of the Directors to watch in the coming years. Writer and Director of three Spanish films and Director and Writer of Award-Winning Short Films worldwide, including "Reaction" (2008) "The Guilt" (2010) and "Zero" (2015) produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Fassbender.
How do you get to work with the streamers on your own show? David has set up his own production company with a smart and interesting vision behind it. He will talk about all of this and about his unorthodox way of working.
MARIA PAU
PIGEM
She recently played in the international Disney + series Mrs. Davis. She studied acting at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona (1988-1991). After working in theatre, she continued her training for six years in the Studio de Fazio, in Rome (Italy), led by Dominique de Fazio (lifetime member of the Actor’s Studio N.Y.). During her training, she moved to Germany where she worked in theatre. 1998 came back to Barcelona to continue her career in cinema, theatre and television.
A good director needs to know how to work with actors, and what better way to learn then by acting yourself. With Maria we will dive into the directors number 1 job: directing actors.
Juan
Morali
Juan Morali is a trained executive with over 25 years of experience in entertainment marketing and content development. He has worked with groups such as Canal+, Universal Networks Vía digital, Mediapro, Nike, etc.
Juan also teaches graduate seminars on pitching techniques and is currently working as a pitch consultant for the leading Spanish speaking film market at the Film Festival of Malaga.
Directors will need to pitch their projects hundreds of times, it can be scary, but it is a skill that can be trained. With the help of Juan, we will train and develop this skill for a full day.

ABREU
Pedro does it all: Fiction, TV and Commercials. Burger King, Red Bull, Endesa, Cepsa, Wallapop, Ford, Mixta, 13th Street Chanel, ONCE, Farmaindustria, Letsbonus, Intex, UAX and Mahou among other great brands, have relied on him to direct their advertising campaigns.
His film EL MONTE DELA LUNA (2009), premiered at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival, was proclaimed the Best Spanish Short Film of 2009 by the Spanish Short Film Agency (ACE). He is the Showrunner and Director of the TV Series L'ULTIMA NIT DEL KARAOKE (2021).
Pedro will focus on his commercial work. How does that industry work? How do you get the jobs? How can you stand out? We will look at pitching, directing and working with the clients.

MARTINEZ
Andrea is a delegate producer at Arcadia Motion Pictures. She is responsible for the upcoming Netflix series El cuerpo en llamas. Arcadia has won multi Goya awards(As Bestas) in Spain and recently had an other project in Cannes(robot dreams).
Andrea will talk to us about the director-producer relationship. How do you pitch to producers? How do you attach a producer to your project? what are all the things producers are looking for in a project. If you have a visual presentation of a project, Andrea can look at it and give you feedback. Don't miss this chance!

SCHRIJVER
Writer/Director/Producer at Tuesday Studio, a Dutch Indie Film Production Company that aims to create European Independent Cinema. Independent from the national and international filmfunds that is. With it he created his first Fiction Feature Film HUMAN NATURE, while hiking 500 km, with a 5 people crew, through Northern Norway. Director of 8 short films that played in over a 100 festivals.
To be able to make a feature, you need to have made a feature. So how do you break this cycle? Create a low budget feature film, but how? Bart will speak about the approach at Tuesday Studio. How he made his first feature, from financing, to pre production, production and distribution.
